The USB 3.0 version of the ThinkPad Mini Dock Series 3 adds a SuperSpeed port to the familiar mix of DisplayPort, DVI and VGA video, wired LAN and audio, all connected the moment your ThinkPad clicks into place.
Uses the ThinkPad Series 3 (CS09) bottom docking connector. Not compatible with the L421, with tablet models (X220/X230 Tablet), or with older/newer ThinkPad generations. On the L412 and L512 the dock's audio jacks are inactive. The USB 3.0 port runs at USB 3.0 speed only on laptops with USB 3.0 support (e.g. T430, T530, X230); on T410/T420/T520-era models it works at USB 2.0 speed.
